Job Description:

Position: Director of Finished Goods

Reports to: Plant Leader, J&J Orthopaedics

Location: Cork, Ireland

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Finished goods is accountable for

1) the safe, compliant, and reliable manufacturing of finished goods and

2) ensuring standardization and alignment with the other major finish goods joints manufacturing sites (Suzhou, Raynham, and Costa Rica).

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure finished goods are manufactured in accordance with the appropriate Corporate, Franchise, Statutory, Legislative and Regulatory, HSE and Quality standards.
• Responsible for creating a culture of development and inclusion, to retain talent and develop a robust succession plan throughout the organization in alignment with the credo.
• Build and maintain an environment of innovative continuous improvement, focusing on quality, cost reduction, process development and supply.
• Directly manage FG manufacturing budget including direct labour, consumables, scrap etc.
• As part of the Cork Site Leadership Team (SLT) set site strategy and cross functional priorities.
• Connect and partner with the finished goods manufacturing sites, setting Joints wide strategies and ensuring alignment.
• Proactive engage with Value Stream Leaders for Hip/Knee/Shoulder as required through standard work, projects, or escalations.
• Represents manufacturing in setting NPI standards for launches, ensuring availability of resources and Finished Goods product to meet agreed launch plans.
• Develop and implement the Operational strategic imperatives in-line with the Joints & Site strategic objectives.
• Connect / participate in / lead Campus Ireland initiatives as required.
