Select Ambition is partnering with a small, busy and well-established accountancy practice in Dublin 12 to appoint a Senior Practice Accountant.
Salary: €70,000-€80,000 per annum
The firm has a varied client portfolio and an established team comprising three qualified accountants and two trainee accountants.
This is a broad senior-practice role for a qualified accountant who can manage assignments through to partner review, engage confidently with clients and provide day-to-day guidance to trainee staff. The successful candidate will work across accounts preparation, audit, taxation compliance and general practice assignments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing statutory accounts to partner-review stage.
- Managing statutory audit assignments from planning through to partner-review stage.
- Completing income tax and corporation tax compliance work.
- Undertaking general practice and ad hoc client assignments.
- Supervising, supporting and reviewing trainee staff.
- Meeting clients directly and maintaining effective professional relationships.
The role is permanent, on-site in Dublin 12 and works 32 hours across four days.

Requirements
Essential requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or an equivalent recognised professional qualification).
- At least five years' experience in an accountancy practice in Ireland or the UK.
- At least three years' post-qualification experience.
- Strong practical experience across statutory accounts, audit, income tax and corporation tax.
- Ability to manage assignments accurately through to partner-review stage.
- Experience supervising and supporting junior or trainee staff.
- Strong client-facing, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Professional, organised and able to use initiative in a busy practice environment.
Preferred attributes:
- Strong aptitude across both taxation and accounts.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
