Senior Research Coordinator (Programme Manager ORE-RG) - Sustainability Institute / Rinn Energy

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Co-Ordinator Programme Manager to provide best practice project portfolio management and team leadership to the high impact Offshore Renewable Energy Research Group (ORE-RG) in the Rinn Energy Centre in the Sustainability Institute. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and the ORE-RG of over 30 researchers at the Research Ireland Rinn Energy Centre in the Sustainability Institute. The Programme Manager will report to the Rinn Energy Director and directly support the Director of the Sustainability Institute, to achieve the agreed strategic and administrative goals of Rinn Energy and the Institute.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of research projects within the ORE-RG in alignment with the requirements and procedures of EU and nationally funded projects and provide high level leadership and coordination to several academic research, development and deployment projects to maximise outputs, impact and synergies across Rinn Energy and the Sustainability Institute. The successful candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience managing researchers and project partners of different disciplines and backgrounds to produce high quality results and impact in a timebound manner.
The successful candidate will ensure that project-work within the ORE-RG portfolio runs seamlessly and fully achieves its objectives within the specified budget to the highest quality and within schedule, without any compromise to the agreed project scope. The successful candidate will maintain a high level of insight into each project within their remit and provide mentorship and direction as required to the project implementation teams during all project phases.

Salary: Appointment may be made on the Admin II Salary Scale: €73,492 - €93,094 (Scale B) / €69,929 - €88,440 (Scale A).
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
