POSITION MISSION & MAIN ACTIVITIES

JOB TITLE: PRODUCT STRUCTURER

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The main responsibilities are:
  • Supporting the Product team by proposing and analysing product ideas
  • Follow and, when required, coordinate and lead the development and implementation of new products liaising with internal teams and external parties involved
  • Maintain and develop the tranche products offering by liaising with asset managers and investment banks for the definition of the products investment features
  • Develop and prepare catalogues for tranche products and present them to the distributor
  • Liaise and, when required, guide the discussions with our external IT provider for new products and other ad hoc projects
  • Support internal teams by sharing investment features of new products, help creating the definition of the commercial message, provide data for production of actuarial and risk metrics and writing of contractual documentation.
  • Support the investment analyst in the definition and revision of investable fund lists for new and existing products
  • Lead implementation of SFDR/Taxonomy regulations, support the transition of existing products toward greater ESG integration, contribute to the development of new sustainable products.
  • Support other AXA Italy entities in developing new products and maintaining existing ones


KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
  • Manage and grow the Relationship with all the parties involved in product development (internal teams, distributor, investment banks, fund managers, service providers)
  • Understand requirements from all stakeholders and translate them in viable investment strategies
  • Manage the product development activities for new products launch and identify areas of intervention for existing products
  • Contribute to the overall Offer strategy definition, to Group initiatives and to transversal projects
  • Projects specified by the Investment Manager

Internal:
  • CIO and Head of Distribution
  • CEO
  • Product, Distribution, actuarial, risk management and compliance teams
  • AXA Italy

External:
  • Service Providers (MPS CIB, Custodian and third party Asset Managers)
  • FNZ
  • BMPS Network (Area Prodotti and BMPS related networks)


PROFILE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or higher, preferably in Economics or Finance
  • Masters degree or additional investments qualifications a significant plus
  • Good understanding of financial markets and product development within the insurance or asset management industry
  • 0-2 years of experience in an investment\product engineering echnical product development role in the insurance, banking or asset management industry


Knowledge:
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets and instruments, in-depth knowledge of OTC derivatives, EMIR Regulation or mutual funds operations
  • Unit linked and protected products
  • Knowledge of applicable Italian and Irish regulation on Life insurance products


Skills:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Italian and English
  • Excellent relationship skills
  • Good quantitative background
  • The candidate must be autonomous and willing to take ownership of new activities able to work under pressure, results-oriented and extremely rigorous
  • Fluent in English and Italian
