Accountant

Our client is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its team in County Sligo. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to take on a varied position with responsibility across financial reporting, compliance and commercial support.

The Role
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Prepare statutory accounts and support year-end audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, tax and regulatory obligations.
• Review financial performance and provide clear commercial insights.
• Maintain strong financial controls and accurate accounting records.
• Work closely with management and other stakeholders across the organisation.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.

Requirements
Candidate Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA or CPA or equivalent
• At least one year of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical accounting and financial-reporting knowledge.
• Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly to management and non-finance colleagues.
• Experience dealing with external auditors.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
