Intern - O2C Supply Chain

Location: Lilly GBS, Little Island Cork

Type: Hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to be on site 50% of the month in Little Island, Cork and 50% working remotely.

Course Eligibility: Bsc Business, finance, supply chain or similar

Key responsibilities for O2C SCM Intern

As an O2C Supply Chain Intern, you will support the team by helping monitor inventory and replenishment activities, contributing to a reliable supply for distributors and, ultimately, our patients. You will assist in building relationships with market affiliates and the material master data team, contribute ideas for continuous improvement, and gain hands-on exposure to solving real supply chain challenges alongside experienced associates.

Compliance

  • Understand and follow all compliance policies, laws, regulations and The Red Book.


  • Ensure adherence to Anti-Corruption requirements when interacting with stakeholders Ensure all operational controls are completed to level required and within agreed timeframe.


  • Integrate compliance into daily activities. Comply with any corrective actions


  • Cooperate with investigations, monitoring and audits


Operational Activities

  • Inventory management: Monitor LSP inventory interfaces, reconcile SAP against LSP stock levels, and run inventory reports.


  • Cross-team liaison: Coordinate with Quality, Material Master Data, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Distribution, and external logistics partners.


  • Reporting: Support operational metrics and SLA reporting.


  • System support: Act as a power user for O2C Supply Chain Management systems.


  • Replenishment: Manage purchase order requests and related stakeholder communication.


  • Process improvement: Propose SCM process standardization and suggest efficiency/effectiveness improvements.


  • Issue resolution: Take ownership of problems, propose solutions, and escalate where necessary.


  • Professional development: Participate in relevant internal/external learning opportunities.


Create, Promote and Maintain Operational Excellence

  • Provide input and recommendations into current process and ways in which it can be improved in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Continuously looks for ways to improve our service level for our customers /stakeholders Supports organizational changes.


Desirable:

  • Use and understanding of an organisation ERP system would be a distinct advantage.


  • Attitude and willingness to learn will be key.
