The Role

The Low Risk Planner is responsible for developing and coordinating production plans across the Ham and Poultry departments, ensuring plans are achievable and aligned with customer requirements, stock levels, available resources, and production capacity.

Working closely with Production, Procurement, Technical, Warehouse, Engineering, Logistics, and Commercial teams, you will help ensure raw materials and packaging are available, production runs efficiently, and any issues are identified and resolved quickly.

This is a fast paced role where you will need to react confidently when plans change and make informed decisions to keep production moving.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2-5+ years' experience in production planning, scheduling or supply chain, ideally within food manufacturing.
  • Experience in meat, ham, poultry or chilled food production would be highly desirable.
  • Understands how production actually operates, including labour availability, production capacity, changeovers, downtime and raw material constraints.
  • Has strong Excel skills.
  • Understands food safety, traceability, allergens, stock rotation and product sequencing.
  • Can quickly react when production doesn't go to plan-for example, equipment breakdowns, labour shortages, raw material issues or quality holds.

Your Key Responsibilities
