This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Google Ads Media Buyer based in Ireland.

This is a performance-focused opportunity for an experienced Google Ads specialist with deep expertise in Demand Gen and Search campaigns.
You'll take ownership of high-budget acquisition strategies, from campaign architecture and creative testing through optimization and scaling.
The role goes beyond traditional PPC management, combining media buying, funnel strategy, audience development, and performance analytics.
You'll work closely with creative and growth teams to turn data into compelling visual assets and profitable customer journeys.
Success will be measured through meaningful performance metrics such as CPA, ROAS, CVR, CTR, and sustainable budget growth.
The environment is fast-paced, highly autonomous, and asynchronous, with strong collaboration across US business hours.
If you thrive on experimentation, direct-response marketing, and making data-driven decisions at scale, this role offers significant ownership and impact.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, launch, manage, and scale high-budget Google Demand Gen and Search campaigns, with a strong focus on profitable direct-response customer acquisition.
  • Build campaign strategies around YouTube, Shorts, Discover, Gmail, and Search inventory, optimizing account structures for sustainable growth.
  • Identify opportunities across search intent, customer journeys, landing pages, advertorials, and multi-step funnels to improve conversion performance.
  • Coordinate with external developers and designers to brief and deliver landing pages, funnels, and advertising assets.
  • Partner with creative strategists and video editors to develop high-performing visual assets, including images, carousels, videos, and Shorts.
  • Develop audience and keyword architectures using search terms, lookalike segments, custom-intent audiences, and first-party data.
  • Design, execute, document, and iterate rapid tests across creatives, audiences, campaigns, and funnels based on performance data.
  • Manage Google Ads compliance, account health, ad disapprovals, policy issues, and appeals proactively.
  • Monitor attribution and key performance indicators including CTR, CPA, CVR, and ROAS, translating findings into actionable growth recommendations.
  • Manage budgets and Smart Bidding strategies, including Maximize Conversions, Target CPA, and Target ROAS, to scale spend efficiently.
  • Work independently through the full growth cycle, from identifying opportunities and launching tests to optimizing results and scaling successful initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Demand Gen and/or legacy Discovery campaigns, including campaign structuring, launch, optimization, and scaling.
  • 4+ years of overall Google Ads experience, particularly with direct-response, conversion-focused eCommerce campaigns.
  • Strong experience with Google Search and familiarity with YouTube Ads and Performance Max.
  • Demonstrated understanding of performance marketing metrics, including CPA, ROAS, CVR, CTR, attribution, tracking, and pixel health.
  • Strong funnel and growth mindset, with the ability to identify consumer needs and translate them into campaigns, landing pages, and scalable acquisition strategies.
  • Creative-first approach with a strong understanding of visual advertising, hooks, creative testing, and audience engagement.
  • Experience with audience segmentation, keyword strategy, Smart Bidding, and Google's machine-learning ecosystem.
  • Highly analytical, data-driven, and comfortable making independent decisions based on performance insights.
  • Strong ownership and autonomy, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, asynchronous environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness to maintain strong overlap with US business hours for real-time campaign scaling and troubleshooting.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Experience with native advertising platforms such as Taboola or Outbrain.
  • Experience with Shopify, health and wellness, or other compliance-sensitive eCommerce environments.
  • Expertise in direct-response advertorials and multi-step funnel development.
  • Experience managing and scaling six- or seven-figure monthly advertising budgets.
  • Strong technical analytics knowledge, including GA4, GTM, and offline conversion tracking.

Benefits

  • Competitive monthly compensation: USD 2,000-7,000, depending on experience and expertise.
  • Remote-first working environment with a strong emphasis on results and output rather than fixed hours.
  • Flexible, asynchronous work structure with required overlap during US business hours.
  • Opportunity to manage substantial advertising budgets and high-impact acquisition campaigns.
  • Significant ownership over campaign strategy, experimentation, creative testing, and scaling.
  • Collaboration with creative strategists, video editors, developers, and growth professionals.
  • Exposure to fast-moving eCommerce and performance marketing initiatives.
  • Opportunity to develop advanced expertise in Demand Gen, direct-response advertising, funnel optimization, and growth strategy.
  • Performance-driven environment focused on experimentation, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement.
