Due to continued growth within our Semiconductor and Advanced Technology business, we are seeking an experienced Planning / Scheduler to support project delivery activities on our clients site based in Co. Kildare

The Planning / Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting project schedules across a portfolio of engineering, construction and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers, engineering disciplines, construction teams, contractors and client representatives to ensure projects are planned and executed effectively.

The role requires strong stakeholder management skills, an analytical mindset and the ability to communicate progress, risks and mitigation strategies clearly to all stakeholders.


Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P4 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Build schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities.
  • Develop baseline schedules and manage revisions through change control processes.
  • Establish critical path activities and identify potential schedule constraints.
  • Monitor progress against planned activities and update schedules on a regular basis.

Project Controls

  • Support project teams in developing realistic work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Produce schedule performance metrics, progress reports and KPI dashboards.
  • Perform critical path analysis and schedule risk assessments.
  • Track milestones and key project deliverables.
  • Support earned value management processes where applicable.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with PM Group project managers, construction managers and client representatives.
  • Facilitate planning and progress review meetings.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide recommendations to optimise project delivery.
  • Present schedule updates, recovery plans and forecasting information to stakeholders.

Risk & Change Management

  • Identify schedule risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in developing mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Evaluate the impact of scope changes on project timelines.
  • Maintain schedule integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting

  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Develop look-ahead schedules for engineering and construction teams.
  • Provide forecast completion dates and performance analysis.
  • Prepare client-facing schedule presentations and dashboards.


Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in project planning and scheduling within industrial, construction, semiconductor, pharmaceutical or mission critical environments.
  • Experience using Primavera P4.
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles and scheduling methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Desirable

  • Experience working on Intel projects or within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom construction and high-tech facility projects.
  • Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboards.
  • Understanding of earned value management (EVM).
  • Project Management Institute (PMI), AACE or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean planning principles.
