Purpose

The Buyer plays a key role in supporting the purchasing function at Securitas Technology Ireland, placing purchase orders, maintaining availability systems, and communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and business continuity.

Education

Level 8 IIPMM Or APICS, or similar professional college education with a strong emphasis on purchasing.

Major Responsibilities
  • Create purchase orders and expedite suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods and smooth invoice matching.
  • Maintain supplier and purchasing records, including lead times, pricing, and material availability.
  • Support stores and purchasing activities to meet operational requirements.
  • Communicate with internal customers regarding delivery schedules and material availability to achieve service performance targets.
  • Complete day-to-day administrative tasks supporting supply chain and purchasing operations.

Experience & Knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing and administrative roles.
  • Good working knowledge of stock control and purchasing processes within ERP systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
