Intern - Lilly Grant Office (LGO) Operations

Location: Lilly GBS, Little Island Cork

Type: Hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to be on site 50% of the month in Little Island, Cork and 50% working remotely.

Course Eligibility : Business or Business Information Systems (BIS)

About the LGO team:

Lilly provides grants and charitable contributions for healthcare professional education, patient advocacy and consumer education programs in a variety of therapeutic areas through the Lilly Grant Office (LGO). The mission of the LGO is to enable the improvement of patient care and healthcare delivery through the funding of unbiased and innovative educational initiatives allowing health care providers, patients and caregivers access to accurate information and relevant educational interventions. The LGO Operation Team is responsible for all grant management operations. This internship role with the LGO would be a part of our LGO Operations Support Team and is accountable for accurate and precise processing of all grants that are submitted through the Lilly Grant Office, from initial request; to communicating decisions; to reconciliation.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing grant requests, including, but not limited to the following: registration; application; denials/approvals; reconciliation; follow-ups
  • Communicate with Medical Education Grant Officers regarding status updates and other grant specific information
  • Precisely follow the LGO Operations process documents
  • Participate in local projects as requested by Manager using some Microsoft tools (PowerBI, PowerApp, PowerAutomate, SharePoint...)
  • Track and report metrics

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in 3rd level education and ready to pursue student placement as part of an undergraduate/master's program
  • Demonstrate a strong compliance-oriented mindset
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
