Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Assistant within UCD School of Business
This job opportunity will give you the chance to be the research assistant in an exciting new project focusing on the JUSt Transition in the Irish Circular Economy (JUSTICE). This project will help to impact the sustainability and ethical decision making of the fashion and food industries.
The JUSTICE project is an EPA Ireland-funded project focusing on ensuring a just transition to a circular economy in Ireland's food and fashion industries, with a focus on resource recovery. This project will have multiple parts to it including mapping the sectors and the policy landscapes in Ireland as well as multiple workshops with stakeholders in these industries, an event study on current policy initiatives; multiple case studies to identify obstacles and opportunities for just transition in the food and fashion industries and examine job quality and conditions in these industries. Followed by behavioural experiments to test policy and financial incentives ensuring a just transition to a circular economy. Finally, JUSTICE principles will be developed and disseminated with the public, future leaders in undergraduate and postgraduate modules as well as with the resource recovery sector.
Salary Range: €34,129 - €36,272 (at 0.5fte pro rata)
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
