The Commercial Deal Architect shapes, evaluates and secures complex wholesale telecoms opportunities, turning customer requirements into commercially viable business cases and deal structures. This is a 14-month FTC, expected to exit the business in November 2027. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Finance, Product, Legal and Technical teams and the role builds the financial models and commercial recommendations that balance customer value, competitiveness, profitability and risk. Acting as commercial lead on significant opportunities, the role supports customer engagements, develops compelling commercial propositions, and presents recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to secure approval and investment, helping enet convert strategic opportunities into sustainable, profitable long-term customer relationships.


Key Accountabilities

Opportunity Assessment Deal Shaping

  • Lead the commercial evaluation of strategic wholesale opportunities, identifying the optimal solution and commercial approach.

  • Design deal structures and pricing strategies that align customer outcomes with enet’s commercial and strategic goals.

  • Develop and evaluate commercial scenarios, guiding Sales on positioning, pricing and negotiation approach.

Business Case Development Financial Modelling

  • Build robust business cases and financial models — revenue, margin, investment, payback, NPV and IRR, with sensitivity analysis.

  • Document assumptions, risks and dependencies clearly to enable informed decisions by senior leadership.

Bid, Proposal Negotiation Support

  • Act as commercial lead for strategic bids, RFPs, RFIs and bespoke opportunities, developing differentiated pricing and commercial narratives.

  • Support or lead commercial negotiations and advise on contractual/commercial terms from qualification through to contract execution.

Executive Governance Deal Approval

  • Prepare business case and approval packs, presenting commercial recommendations, risks and scenario analysis to senior leadership and the ELT.

  • Drive opportunities through governance processes, ensuring decisions are supported by data, financial analysis and strategic rationale.

Stakeholder Management Market Insight

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships, influencing stakeholders without direct authority to align on commercial outcomes and timelines.

  • Monitor wholesale telecoms market and competitor trends, using insight to inform pricing, investment decisions and continuous improvement of commercial processes.

Required Expertise/ Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in telecommunications, ideally within wholesale, carrier, infrastructure or B2B markets.

  • Proven track record structuring complex commercial opportunities and building business cases for senior/executive audiences.

  • Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills, with a strong understanding of telecom commercial models, pricing structures and cost drivers (fixed connectivity and voice products).

  • Ability to translate technical solutions into commercial propositions and business outcomes.
