We are currently looking for a Texturing Artist to join our talented team here at our Dublin studio. The successful candidate will create high-quality textures and shaders that meet the artistic and narrative goals set by the Art Director, while adhering to technical specifications and project constraints.
This is a Fixed-Term, 8 week contract based in Dublin.
Please note that our studio operates on a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days per week required in the studio.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
• Create textures and shaders for characters, props, environments, and other assets using tools such as Unreal Engine, Maya, and Substance Painter.
• Interpret visual direction and ensure technical accuracy through close collaboration with Art Directors, CG Supervisors, and Production.
• Work with Lighting and Compositing teams to ensure shaders meet the final look requirements.
• Perform technical approvals on internally and externally produced assets.
• Monitor and log time spent on tasks and escalate issues promptly.
• Review your own work and participate in dailies to critique the work of the wider team (including overseas).
• Troubleshoot and resolve artistic and technical issues related to surfacing.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure optimized rendering performance.
• Stay current on industry tools, workflows, and best practices.
Key Requirements
Knowledge
• Working knowledge of texture and shading creation and the CG pipeline.
Experience
• Experience as a Texture Artist in broadcast, feature film, or comparable quality game work.
Technical Skills
• Proficient in Substance Painter, Photoshop; strong UV mapping skills in Maya. Good understanding of shader/texture optimization.
Salary
39,000.00 - 41,327.21
