Overview:
We are currently seeking an Estates and Environment Officer to join our team in Breedon Ireland, Ballycoolin.
As an Estates and Environment Officer you will be working closely with the Environment Manager and wider site management teams to ensure compliance with all required standards. The successful candidate will provide professional support to the land and mineral resources team in all areas of environment, planning and estates.

Due to the nature of this role, travel within the island of Ireland will be required so the office base can be flexible dependent on the successful candidates home address. Full, clean drivers licence essential.

Overview:
We are currently seeking an Estates and Environment Officer to join our team in Breedon Ireland, Ballycoolin.
As an Estates and Environment Officer you will be working closely with the Environment Manager and wider site management teams to ensure compliance with all required standards. The successful candidate will provide professional support to the land and mineral resources team in all areas of environment, planning and estates.

- Implementation and monitoring of environmental management plans at company locations.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the company ISO14001 Environmental Management System and ISO50001 Energy Management System.
- Collation, review and reporting of environmental data.
- Preparation of planning & environmental compliance records and submissions to local authorities.
- Completion of land searches.
- Assist with the preparation of planning applications.
- Undertaking fieldwork, including surveying, groundwater level monitoring and data retrieval from monitoring equipment.
- Maintain accurate planning & environmental records, databases and compliance schedules.
- Liaise with site personnel, contractors, consultants and regulatory authorities where required.
- Carry out routine environmental inspections/audits and follow up with corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Support compliance with planning conditions, environmental permits/licences and other statutory requirements.
- Assist with investigations of environmental incidents, complaints and non-conformances.
- Undertake other planning & environmental duties as required by the Environment Manager.
What we need from you!
- A degree or relevant qualification in Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geology, Surveying or a related discipline.
- 2 years' experience in Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Management required (or a related discipline).
- An interest in environmental compliance and environmental management and planning within the quarrying or construction industry.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
- Experience in GPS surveying, GIS/CAD software and spatial data collection.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with data.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and other Office applications.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider team.
- A full driving licence is essential.
