Internal 0.5 WTE Senior Dietitian Complex Obesity Service

Purpose of the Role

The complex obesity service in Children's Health Ireland is an established multidisciplinary team providing assessment and treatment of children and adolescents referred with obesity. The service at CHI at Temple Street is an accredited centre of excellence for the management of obesity in children at European level (EASO COMS) and is linked with international centres in Europe, Australia and in the United States. Treatment options vary according to clinical need, and include 1:1 interventions or group programme in line with best practice. The service participates in a strong audit and research programme and has published in peer reviewed journals.

To work and function as an effective member of the Nutrition and Dietetic team and the Complex Obesity team, with the aim of providing expert, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic care as well as playing a key role in the development, delivery, and evaluation of such care / pathways for paediatric patients in Children's Health Ireland.

The successful candidate may be required to work across CHI sites and services in line with organisational requirements and the development of the new children's hospital and associated services.

Essential Criteria:
• Registration with the Dietitians Registration Board of CORU.
• A minimum of 3-years post-qualification experience in clinical dietetics.
• Experience in paediatric dietetics and acute tertiary services.
