The Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Limerick is looking for a commercially focused, people-oriented and guest-driven Spa & Leisure Centre Manager to lead our Spa and Leisure operation.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the department's commercial performance, colleague development, guest and member experience, and overall operational standards.
As Spa & Leisure Centre Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team across spa treatments, leisure facilities, fitness and membership services. You will develop strong relationships with colleagues, hotel guests, members, suppliers and external partners while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and strengthen the department's offering.

As Spa & Leisure Centre Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team across spa treatments, leisure facilities, fitness and membership services. You will develop strong relationships with colleagues, hotel guests, members, suppliers and external partners while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and strengthen the department's offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of the hotel's Spa and Leisure Centre.
- Maintain a visible management presence across the spa, swimming pool, gym and leisure facilities.
- Drive revenue through treatments, spa packages, retail products, leisure memberships and fitness services.
- Develop and deliver a clear commercial plan for the department.
- Monitor membership performance, treatment-room utilisation, bookings, retail sales and departmental targets.
- Identify opportunities to attract new members and improve member retention.
- Develop seasonal promotions, membership campaigns and spa packages.
- Build strong relationships with hotel guests, leisure members, corporate clients, suppliers and external partners.
- Work with the hotel's Sales and Marketing teams to promote the Spa and Leisure Centre.
- Recruit, lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team of therapists, leisure attendants, fitness professionals and reception colleagues.
- Prepare effective rosters that reflect business levels, treatment bookings, member demand and operational requirements.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular coaching, feedback and development support.
- Ensure consistently high standards of guest care, treatment delivery and member service.
- Respond to guest and member feedback, resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage departmental budgets, payroll, operating costs and financial performance.
- Oversee stock control, purchasing, spa retail displays and inventory management.
- Ensure the swimming pool, gym, treatment rooms, changing facilities and public areas are maintained to an excellent standard.
- Ensure all equipment is inspected, maintained and operated safely.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety, water-quality, hygiene, fire-safety and emergency procedures.
- Ensure appropriate lifeguarding, first-aid and safety arrangements are maintained.
- Complete risk assessments, operational checks and departmental records accurately.
- Produce regular reports on commercial performance, membership, guest feedback and operational standards.
- Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to strengthen the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous management experience within a hotel spa, leisure centre, fitness club, wellness facility or similar environment.
- Broad knowledge of spa, leisure, fitness and membership operations.
- A recognised qualification in spa therapy, fitness, leisure management or a related discipline would be an advantage.
- Pool Plant Operator, lifeguarding or relevant leisure qualifications would be beneficial.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience driving revenue and managing departmental performance.
- Experience managing budgets, payroll, memberships, retail products or sales targets.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent people-management and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence engaging with colleagues, hotel guests, members, suppliers and external partners.
- Strong understanding of health and safety, risk management and compliance within a leisure environment.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused leadership style.
- Ability to balance commercial priorities with exceptional guest and member experiences.
- Flexibility to work according to operational requirements, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
