  • Create seasonal packages, promotions and initiatives to attract new and returning guests.
  • Build strong relationships with hotel guests, spa members, corporate clients, suppliers and external partners.
  • Work with the hotel's Sales and Marketing teams to promote the spa across relevant channels.
  • Recruit, lead, motivate and develop a high-performing Spa and Leisure team.
  • Create effective rosters that reflect business levels, guest demand and operational requirements.
  • Set clear expectations and provide regular coaching, feedback and performance support.
  • Build a positive, inclusive and engaging culture within the department.
  • Maintain a visible management presence and support colleagues during busy periods.
  • Ensure guests receive a warm, personalised and professional experience at every stage of their visit.
  • Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Manage departmental budgets, payroll, costs and financial performance.
  • Oversee stock control, purchasing, retail displays and inventory management.
  • Maintain high standards across treatment rooms, leisure facilities and public areas.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, licensing, health and safety and all relevant operational requirements.
  • Produce regular reports on departmental performance, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to strengthen the overall guest experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience within a spa, leisure, wellness, beauty or luxury hospitality environment.
  • A recognised qualification in beauty or spa therapy would be an advantage.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience driving revenue and managing departmental performance.
  • Experience working with budgets, payroll, sales targets, memberships or retail products.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent people-management and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence engaging with colleagues, guests, members, suppliers and external partners.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused leadership style.
  • Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to balance commercial priorities with exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining excellent standards.
  • Flexibility to work according to the operational needs of the department, including weekends and public holidays.
