MetLife Ireland which is located in both Dublin and Galway City Centres. Dublin is our Operational Headquarters for our Europe Region. In addition, both Dublin and Galway have a significant number of our colleagues that are focused on supporting our broader EMEA and Global functions. They are homes to our Actuarial, Audit, Compliance, Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, Risk and Treasury Teams.
The Opportunity
The MetLife Digital Hub is responsible for the rollout, implementation and maintenance of strategic regional programs across EMEA for the MetLife business. As a Scrum Lead on the DevSecOps & Cloud team you are responsible for helping organise the team in the rollout of best practices, tools, and methodologies, with respect to DevSecOps and Cloud, across MetLife EMEA. You will contribute in efforts to streamline and automate development, testing and support processes in the software development life cycle, while adhering to our set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with the development, infrastructure, architecture and Global and regional CoE. You will have an opportunity to impact every part of the system, foster and cultivate your curiosity and iterate over solutions to be the very best you can be to deliver for our customers. You will be supporting leadership in an AGILE & DevOps Methodology environment promoting teamwork and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Help lead onshore and/or offshore scrum team(s) in moderate to complex work streams
- Help the team(s) embrace Agile values, adopt and apply Agile principles, and implement Agile practices.
- Facilitate transparency and a continuous learning mindset.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to support short and long-term release planning, while maintaining a healthy team backlog ready for execution.
- Actively manage interdependencies between dependent teams. Anticipate and address or escalate potential or actual impediments to team delivery
- Lead the tracking and reporting on agile team metrics (CFD, Burndown/up, velocity), escalating issues as needed. Ability to report in Waterfall or Agile.
- Be able to follow a coaching model for helping the team resolve issues.
- Coach teams through the exploration and adoption of agile engineering practice (e.g., test automation, CI/CD, BDD, Agile Architecture, AI Adoption).
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant work or project experience.
- 3 - 6 years in a corporate IT environment preferably in insurance/financial/healthcare industry
- 1 + years as a Scrum Master, preferably for technical programs with Cloud or DevOps components
- Experience in Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in supporting multiple scrum teams simultaneously
- Knowledge and use of industry standard tools, e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira.
- Ability to identify risks to project success and recommend course of action to prevent risk from negatively impacting the project;
- Ability to effectively recognize when to escalate issues and options to senior management for resolution

- Strong communication skills to lead interactions with business and technology leaders
- Strong networking ability to communicate & interact with diverse talent and an attitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Strong understanding of application development lifecycle management (DevOps and CI/CD).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills. Must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing.
- Strong vendor management skills and a level of comfort in working in Agile teams comprising of both internal and external team members
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- SAFe Agile or equivalent certification.
