Purpose of the Role
The post holder will lead a comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy service to patients and their families who are referred to the cleft lip and palate team.
The post holder will demonstrate specialist clinical and leadership competencies whilst supporting senior and basic grade SLT members of staff to carry out their clinical duties. The post holder will lead the service's on-going development in conjunction with the wider MDT. The post holder will work with the European Reference Network to gather relevant data in an appropriate way.
The successful candidate may be required to work across CHI sites and services in ine with organisational requirements and the development of the new children's hospital and associated services.

Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Speech and Language Studies from the University of Dublin or an equivalent qualification.
- Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist (www.coru.ie). Please state your CORU registration number on your CV and on your letter of application and upload a copy of CORU
- Have a minimum of 5 years satisfactory post qualification experience working with children with speech disorders associated with cleft lip and palate.
- Experience with nasendoscopy and fluorosocopy to assess palate function.
- Experience in data collection and audit.
- Experience of supervision of SLT colleagues.
- Teaching and research experience
