Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Legal Manager (Distribution and Products) to join the management team (4 managers) of the legal business line in Amundi Ireland Limited and to manage the global distribution legal team which is based in Ireland. The role reports to the Deputy Group General Counsel who is also based in Ireland. The successful candidate will enjoy a broad range of distribution and product related work and will collaborate with other lawyers and colleagues across the Amundi group, in Europe as well as Asia and Middle East.

The Amundi Legal function is composed of approximately 120 lawyers - about half based in our headquarters in Paris and the rest spread across our investment and distribution hubs in the rest of the world. The Irish legal team of 10 lawyers has always had a global focus. The global distribution legal team (3 lawyers including the Senior Legal Manager) is based in the Dublin office and, working alongside distribution focussed lawyers in other locations, takes the lead in providing legal support for our Distribution efforts globally. In addition, this team is responsible for the legal structuring and maintenance of a range of Luxembourg domiciled UCITS and provides support to the Irish Products Legal team in the structuring and maintenance of our fast growing Irish product range. These activities are critical to the achievement of Amundi's ambitious growth objectives.

You will be expected to
- Take management responsibility for a team of 2 experienced lawyers in Dublin;
- Assist the Deputy Group General Counsel in initiating and managing distribution related regulatory change initiatives and internal global initiatives through and with the support of the Global Distribution Practice Group within the Global Legal Business Line.
- Oversee the legal management of the group's third party and intragroup distribution network. Take ownership with the Deputy Group General Counsel of the group DA and related templates, initiating and managing the rollout of any template changes across the group;
- Globally ensuring the continued enhancement / maintenance of the technology solutions utilised to support the network and the Group Marketing Procedure;
- Support the Group Marketing function in the delivery of legal support for the preparation of marketing collateral, particularly for the Group's cross-border product offerings;
- Ensure robust marketing validation processes continue to be developed together with guidelines and appropriate training support for stakeholders;
- Provide product legal structuring support for a range of Luxembourg domiciled UCITS funds
- Assist the Irish products legal team where required in the management of specific product legal initiatives in Ireland. Amundi Ireland Limited, our Irish Management Company is growing strongly with a large pipeline of active funds, passive and active ETF's and a CCF with a current AUM of approx. Euro 77 Billion.
- Participate in group projects, industry working groups and external fora relating to distribution matters; be the legal SPOC for distribution regulatory matters with the Group Public Affairs function based in Paris and Brussels;
- Appoint, supervise and liaise with external counsel, regulators and other third parties to ensure compliance by the Global Distribution and Wealth Division with international and local law and regulation;
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all developments in International Funds Law and Regulation from an EU to country level having particular regard to developments in funds distribution and consumer protection legislation.
- Assisting in the development of AI initiatives with the Amundi Innovation lab focussed on delivering efficiencies in the legal support of our distribution activities.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Common or Civil law training as a Solicitor/barrister/lawyer with minimum of 5yrs PQE, ideally in the global financial services/asset management sector;
- Fluent English essential. High level of proficiency in French, Spanish or Italian desirable;
- International experience of the legal and regulatory issues affecting the distribution of UCITS and other collective investment vehicle structures globally; Experience in providing product legal services for European CIU's;
- Experience and expertise in the review/negotiation of commercial agreements in a busy in-house legal team would be a distinct advantage;
- Experience successfully leading and managing a team
