National Retail Account Manager
Help build ZOE's physical Retail presence from the ground up.
ZOE has built a world-class personalised health product, and now we're taking our physical products into retail. We're looking for a National Retail Account Manager with an FMCG or Consumer Health background to help turn that ambition into reality, owning the retailer relationships, product launches, vendor setups, and trading performance that will shape how ZOE shows up on physical shelves.
You'll have the opportunity to build how we work with retailers from the ground up, sitting within our Supply Chain & Operations team while collaborating across Commercial, Operations, Marketing, and Logistics to make things happen. If you're commercially minded, operationally sharp, and excited by hands-on retail launch execution, this is your opportunity to have a real impact.
About the Role
ZOE is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we're looking for a dedicated National Retail Account Manager to help shape and scale our physical retail channel (across UK grocery, pharmacy, high street, and health & wellness channels) while supporting key commercial partnerships.
This is a highly operational, high-impact role for someone who thrives on turning commercial opportunities into structured launch plans, seamless supply chain coordination, and strong on-shelf execution. You'll own the day-to-day commercial and operational management of our retail accounts, ensuring launch critical paths are executed, retailer portal administration is flawless, trading performance is actively managed, and stock flow is coordinated across the business.
About the Team
You'll join the Supply Chain team within ZOE's wider Operations organisation, reporting to the Associate Ops Director. The team makes sure ZOE's physical products can be launched, supplied, and scaled reliably. You'll work closely with Commercial, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Growth, Product, Quality, Customer Operations, Creative, suppliers, warehouses and logistics providers.
The team is distributed across the UK, EU, and US, working remotely and cross-functionally with a strong focus on reliable execution, clear ownership, and fast problem-solving.
What You'll Be Doing
Retailer Onboarding & Launch Execution: Own retailer setup, critical path management, and operational readiness from account setup through to live trading on shelves.
Portal & Product Administration: Coordinate retailer setup requirements, including vendor portals, product information, pricing, pack specs, GS1 barcodes, artwork, product copy, promotional setups, and delivery requirements.
Account & Partner Management: Manage day-to-day retail account relationships, ensuring retailer queries, stock blockers, operational decisions, and follow-up actions are handled quickly and clearly.
Trading Performance & Analytics: Track trading performance across sales, rate of sale (ROS), availability, stock cover, promotional uplift, placement, distribution, and retailer reporting, turning data into actionable growth recommendations.
Commercial & Marketing Alignment: Partner closely with Commercial and Marketing on promotional calendars, retailer moments, in-store execution, and account growth opportunities.
Future Retailer Negotiations: Lead commercial preparation and negotiations, owning Joint Business Planning (JBP) inputs, trading terms, operational requirements, and follow-up actions.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Support forecasting, purchase order tracking, stock visibility, and service-risk management across current accounts and future retail expansion.
-
Playbook Creation: Build repeatable retail account management processes, templates, and playbooks that help ZOE scale into additional retailers and channels across the UK and EU.
What You'll Bring
FMCG / Retail Experience: 2-4+ years of experience in retail account management, commercial operations, or retail operations within FMCG, CPG, grocery, consumer health, food, or consumer packaged goods. (Note: This role focuses on physical product execution; non-physical sales, B2B tech/SaaS, or service sales backgrounds are not suitable).
UK Retail Environment Knowledge: Clear understanding of the UK retail landscape, including grocery (e.g. Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose), high street / health & beauty (e.g. Boots, Superdrug), or specialty health channels.
Retailer System & Portal Fluency: Familiarity with managing retailer portals, critical paths, GS1/barcoding standards, artwork sign-offs, and trade term administration.
Commercial & Operational Balance: Comfort with forecasting inputs, order and stock tracking, availability metrics, rate of sale, margin structures, and the operational realities of getting physical stock onto shelves.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to coordinate internal teams (Supply Chain, Ops, Marketing, Finance) and external retailer contacts with clear communication and fast problem-solving.
Builder Mentality: Comfort working in a fast-moving, evolving environment where you enjoy creating scalable ways of working and establishing best practices.
