This role is pivotal to our continued success and ensuring the smooth running of our operations during the night hours.

Role Overview

As a Night Porter, you will be the face of our establishment during the night shift, providing essential support across various departments. Your role will be crucial in maintaining security, assisting guests, and ensuring the premises are safe and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist late-arriving guests with check-in procedures.
  • Conduct regular security checks of the premises, including guest rooms, public areas, and exterior grounds.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and enquiries throughout the night.
  • Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to maintain a secure environment.
  • Handle any emergency situations calmly and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Assist with luggage handling and room service deliveries during night hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in public areas during the shift.
  • Support housekeeping and maintenance teams with any urgent night-time tasks.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and handover notes for the morning team.
  • The night audit is to be completed at the time given to you by Management and the specific reports to be done from the night audit.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience in a similar night porter, security, or hospitality role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative during night shifts.
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Good observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic IT skills for reporting and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work overnight hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the hospitality industry.
