Reporting to the Category Manager, the Category Assistant work closely with the Healthcare and wider Irish Trading teams, supporting category performance and delivering business priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the Healthcare category budget, sales, and promotional plans.
- Manage supplier and product set-up on internal systems.
- Provide store support through effective communication and problem-solving.
- Produce weekly sales performance reports.
- Build relationships with Boots UK Healthcare teams to support UK-led initiatives.
- Identify local opportunities and support new product launches in Ireland.
- Attend supplier meetings and occasionally travel to Boots UK headquarters.
What You'll Need
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Good Excel skills and experience analysing data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- A passion for Healthcare and an interest in developing a career in buying.
Desirable
- Experience in a category assistant or trading support role.
- Knowledge of Healthcare products, regulations, and medicinal licensing.
- Previous Healthcare trading experience and strong presentation skills.
