To maintain a high-level standard of paint finishes on our assets in Terminals 1& 2, Campus and Airfield.
To operate sign making vinyl cutting equipment and Seiko 64s Colour Painter printing machine to produce various high quality operational and marketing end products in sign manufacturing within Asset Care Department to numerous customers in Terminals 1& 2, Campus and Airfield . To liaise and manage works carried out by Term Contractors in areas such as Painting, Signage, Glazing, Window Film or for any other contractors required throughout Terminals 1& 2, Campus and Airfield

Responsibilities
- The Painting Technician is responsible for the upkeep and appearance of Surfaces throughout Terminals 1& 2, Campus and Airfield
- Full ownership of all Painting equipment
- Full ownership for the performance of the sign making equipment.
- Manage contractors and associated contracts.
- Assist with Contractor reviews in accordance with ISO 55001.
- Work in a highly productive, resourceful manner
- To work in a fully cross functional & multi skilled environment to support, operate and maintain, painting, signage, glazing, window films, public health and other building (fabric & structure) systems as required etc.
- Take full responsibility for all assigned equipment in terms of up time, response times, resolution times, completion rates for planned and corrective maintenance work orders.
- Record all planned, reactive and corrective work activities in a CMMS system.
- Record all contractor works planned, reactive and corrective work activities in a CMMS system.
- Participate fully with in house training and pursue a reasonable amount of personal professional development outside the working environment.
- Demonstrate excellent and prompt communications on system issues both within the maintenance department and among other stakeholders (e.g. ACC & OCC).
- Delegate and back fill other positions and roles in other work groups and for other trades if required.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive, timely, right first-time records and documentation to support the maintenance operation.
- Participate & contribute fully to maintain the highest standards in terms of health, safety and the environment, quality management (systems), continuous improvement.
- Identify & implement cost effective and customer focused maintenance solutions.
- Ensure complete cleanliness for all systems, equipment and areas.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant technical Painting qualification (National Craft Certificate/Standards Based Apprenticeship)
- Minimum of 2 years' post apprenticeship experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong commitment to health & safety, with the ability to work safely and effectively under pressure in a safety-critical environment
- Effective communication skills, particularly in coordination with operational stakeholders
- Ability to safely use electrical, hand, and power tools with relevant practical experience
- Technically adaptable, with the ability to learn and adopt new systems and technologies
- High levels of initiative, problem-solving ability, and resourcefulness to deliver work efficiently
- Full clean drivers license
