Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of experienced members of the Commercial Team, your responsibilities will develop as your knowledge and experience grow.
These will include:
Commercial & Quantity Surveying
• Assisting Quantity Surveyors with the commercial management of M&E projects.
• Supporting the preparation and review of project budgets, cost plans and forecasts.
• Assisting with the measurement and valuation of Mechanical and Electrical works.
• Assisting with the preparation, review and submission of interim payment applications.
• Supporting the assessment of subcontractor and supplier payments.
• Assisting with the preparation and evaluation of variations and change orders.
• Maintaining accurate records of project costs and commercial information.
• Assisting with cost reporting and monitoring project expenditure.
• Supporting the preparation of final accounts.
• Developing an understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
• Assisting with procurement and the preparation of subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules and other project documentation.
• Working with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators and Site Teams to understand project progress and commercial performance.

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

• Ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
• A willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT skills and confidence in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Commitment to completing the required apprenticeship and education programme.
• Leaving Certificate qualification.
