Hours: 37.5 standard hours (including breaks) (Flexibility Required)
Contract Status: Fixed Term until 31st May 2027 (maternity cover)

About the Service:
Extern are seeking a Multi Systemic Therapist to support young people and their families to increase compliance with Court ordered bail conditions and reduce the risk of them being remanded in detention.
The Bail Supervision Scheme (BSS) offers courts an alternative option to detaining a young person who comes before them by offering them the possibility of granting bail with intensive supervision. By reducing the need for remand places, this also provides an opportunity to focus on developing successful community resources designed to prevent young people being detained in a youth justice facility and preventing them from entering further down the path of criminality.

We welcome applications from people who have worked in a wide array of fields, with those or supporting those who care for others who can display behaviours that challenge. In particular, applications from professionals with a background in family support, youth and community work, residential care, Youth Diversion Programmes, child and adolescent psychology/psychotherapy, family therapy or any other background where they have worked intensively with families, individuals and or young people.
