Assistant Spa Manager

The Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Limerick is looking for a commercially focused, people-oriented and guest-driven Assistant Spa Manager to support the continued success of our Spa and Leisure operation.

This is a hands-on leadership position with a strong focus on commercial performance, colleague engagement and relationship management. It is ideal for someone who is confident building positive relationships with colleagues, guests, members, suppliers and external partners.

Working closely with the Spa & Leisure Manager, you will help lead the team, grow treatment and retail revenue and ensure consistently high standards across every part of the guest journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Spa & Leisure Manager with the day-to-day management of the department.
• Help drive revenue across spa treatments, packages, memberships and retail products.
• Monitor bookings, occupancy, sales performance and commercial targets.
• Identify opportunities to improve treatment-room utilisation and maximise revenue.
• Support the development and delivery of promotions, seasonal packages and commercial initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with hotel guests, spa members, corporate clients, suppliers and external partners.
• Lead, motivate and support the Spa and Leisure team to achieve service and commercial objectives.
• Assist with recruitment, induction, training, performance management and colleague development.
• Prepare team rosters that reflect business levels and operational requirements.
• Maintain a visible management presence and support colleagues during busy periods.
• Ensure every guest receives a warm, personalised and professional experience.
• Respond to guest and member feedback, resolving concerns promptly and effectively.
• Support stock control, purchasing, retail displays and inventory management.
• Monitor departmental costs and contribute to budget and performance reporting.
• Ensure treatment rooms, leisure facilities and public areas are maintained to the required standard.
• Maintain compliance with hygiene, health and safety and operational procedures.
• Deputise for the Spa & Leisure Manager when required.
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Front Office and other hotel departments to promote the spa and strengthen the overall guest experience.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop revenue opportunities.
• Experience working with sales targets, budgets, retail products or membership programmes.
• Excellent people-management and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence engaging with colleagues, guests, members, suppliers and external partners.
• A positive and approachable leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance guest satisfaction, colleague engagement and commercial performance.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
