Leisure Club Supervisor - Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork

The Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork is seeking an experienced Leisure Club Supervisor to join our team.

In this role, you will play a central part in shaping the future of our leisure offering-delivering exceptional service to hotel guests and club members, maximise guest satisfaction and achieve sales, profitability and quality service goals by managing and providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all Leisure club members and hotel guests. Ensure the presentation and cleanliness of the facilities is kept to a high standard.

You will work closely with the Leisure Club Manager and Group Leisure Manager, contributing to strategy, growth, and the continued development of a standout leisure experience within the Radisson Blu Cork community.

Key Responsibilities

• With the support of the Leisure Centre Manager oversee the day-to-day running of the Radisson Blu Cork Leisure Club, ensuring a welcoming, high-quality environment at all times.
• Instruct Members and customers on the safe & effective use of the Gym Equipment.
• Drive membership growth, retention, and revenue through strong sales initiatives and local marketing.
• Ensure plant, equipment, and facilities are maintained to Radisson Blu brand expectations.
• Perform Health screening, Gym Inductions, provide Fitness programmes and teach Group
  Exercise Classes as and when required.
• Highly organised and process-focused, with strong attention to operational excellence.
• Ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean & safe facility
• Perform all cleaning tasks as and when required to ensure excellent standards of hygiene are
  maintained at all times and also complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and
  keep records up to date.
• Complete chemical checks for the Pool & Jacuzzi when required as per the schedule - checks to include bacteria/ PH checks, complete Pool testing as and when required and adhere to the pool plant schedule completing all tasks as and when required
• Complete regular daily checks on the Steam Room and Sauna as per the requirements
• Complete thorough walk through of the club during your shift, ensuring standards are being
  maintained and cleaning completed as per the schedule
• Reports any necessary repairs to engineering using maintenance request process
• Maintain a Safe operating environment at all times for customers by completing the necessary
  H&S checks and reporting any issues to your line Manager.
• Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships and inspire loyalty.
• Creative problem solver with flexibility and resilience.
• Take a proactive approach to member retention for the club by completing the Member CRM
  process as outlined by the Leisure Centre Manager
• Supervises retailing activities including purchasing and receiving safeguards
• Order's amenities and necessary supplies for the Leisure Centre as directed by the Leisure
  centre Manager.
• Complete Cashing up process as required and prepare any necessary reported as directed by
  the Leisure Club Manager.
• Plan & carry out any training required by the team members to help maintain the highest
  standards of service possible.
• Provides cover on the reception desk as and when required, answering the phones, dealing
  with member and customer queries and offering an exceptional standard of service
• To undertake all duties required by your department and Leisure Club Manager.
• To assist in any other duties as required by the Leisure Club itself, the Leisure Club Manager or
  Management.
• Foster teamwork, motivation, and a positive, energetic work environment.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, and Security standards in line with hotel and Radisson Blu policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional facility for colleagues, members, and guests.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Level 2 Gym Instructor as a minimum
  • REPs Ireland level 2 registered
  • Basic 1st Aid Qualification
  • Group Exercise Instructor - Qualified to
  teach a variety of Group exercise classes
  • Good communicator
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills with the
  ability to relate to a wide variety of
  individuals

• Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Gym/ Leisure environment
• Fully qualified and certified Lifeguard an advantage but not essential
• Certified in Occupational First Aid
• Certified Pool Plant Room operator
• Good Admin skills including IT literate and have experience of handling phone calls both incoming and outgoing and using your skills to generate revenue for the business
