About the Position

Reporting directly to VP, IT Manager - Infrastructure Architecture

The Senior Azure DevOps Engineer role is based in the Dublin office.

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage an enterprise-scale Azure environment. This role will focus on building secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions while collaborating with development, IT, various business units, and security teams.

Key Relationships

Reports to: VP, IT Manager - Infrastructure Architecture

Key Stakeholders: IT Infrastructure

Key Partners: Directory Service Group, IT Service Desk, IT Engineering, Application Support, Finance Systems, Platform Operations

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and deploy Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost.
  • Collaborate with Dev and other IT teams for CI/CD integration.
  • Oversee Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft Windows 365 configuration and environmental management
  • Azure IAM in conjunction with Directory Services
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using PowerShell, Arm templates, Terraform, Git Actions etc.
  • Use scripting languages and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Support Dynamics365 environments.
  • Configure virtual networks, gateways, and other networking components.
  • Prepare technical documentation and executive reports for stakeholders.


Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and DevOps best practices.
  • Proficiency in managing Microsoft Azure services, including identity, governance, storage, compute, and networking.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) for automation.
  • Experience with security principles and tools in a cloud environment.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and optimize cloud costs.


Candidate Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure technologies
  • Degree (preferred).


Experience
  • Multiple years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture
  • Experience with containerization
  • Experience of managing stakeholders across all levels and working with outsourced suppliers.
  • Experience of creating and presenting executive summary reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
