LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.

Moving to a new country shouldn't mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.

What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.

With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.

About the role

LemFi Europe is a fast-growing fintech authorised in Dublin and expanding across Europe, building the financial infrastructure that serves people the world has historically overlooked. Our Finance function sits at the heart of that ambition - and this Senior Accountant role is the linchpin of our Irish entity's financial operations.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will own month-end, statutory reporting, tax and regulatory submissions end to end, and act as deputy when cover is needed. You will work with real complexity - high volumes of data, direct exposure to the Central Bank of Ireland, and a leadership team that expects commercial insight, not just numbers. There is no legacy mess to untangle: you will build processes from scratch and make them yours.

What you'll build and own

  • Own the full month-end close process, producing accurate management accounts and board packs that give senior leadership a clear commercial picture every single time.

  • Prepare statutory accounts, tax filings and regulatory submissions to the Central Bank of Ireland, managing external auditors, tax authorities and regulators without hand-holding.

  • Act as deputy to the Head of Finance, stepping up to lead the function during periods of absence or when the Head of Finance is supporting the wider group.

  • Drive forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, turning high volumes of raw financial data into concise, decision-ready insight for management.

  • Manage high-volume reconciliations and continuously improve the processes behind them, using AI tools and NetSuite automation to cut manual effort and reduce error.

  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with operations, tax and planning teams, acting as a trusted finance partner across the business.

  • Use AI purposefully to streamline reporting, summarise data and support commercial storytelling - while critically interrogating every output before it leaves your desk.

Your experience

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with at least four to five years of post-qualification experience.

  • Background in a Big Four firm (ideally with fintech or financial services clients) or direct experience within a fintech or regulated financial services business.

  • Hands-on experience with statutory reporting, regulatory submissions and stakeholder management in a regulated environment - experience dealing with the Central Bank of Ireland or an equivalent regulator is a strong plus.

  • Proficient in NetSuite and Excel; comfortable interrogating large, complex data sets and drawing commercial conclusions from them.

  • Confident using AI tools to automate reconciliations, streamline processing and improve reporting speed - and rigorous about verifying outputs before relying on them.

  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritise under pressure and hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment with limited hand-holding.

  • Strong communicator who can translate complex financial information into plain language for senior management and board-level audiences.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a newly authorised or early-stage regulated entity, where processes were built rather than inherited.

  • Exposure to multi-currency accounting and cross-border financial flows.

  • Experience preparing or presenting to a local board or regulatory body such as the Central Bank of Ireland.
