Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive and professional service.
- Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Work across Colgan's Gastropub, weddings, meetings, functions and special events.
- Prepare dining areas, function rooms and service stations before service.
- Assist with the setup and turnaround of wedding and event spaces.
- Serve food and drinks in accordance with the hotel's service standards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
- Ensure tables and service areas remain clean, organised and fully stocked.
- Process guest bills and payments accurately when required.
- Follow all food safety, allergen, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
- Support colleagues during busy service periods and large events.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive and professional working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food and beverage, events or customer service is desirable, but full training can be provided.
- A friendly, professional and guest-focused approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working flexible hours.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays, particularly during weddings and events.
- A positive attitude and genuine interest in hospitality.
