Bar Team Leader

Tullamore Court Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and guest-focused Bar Team Leader to support the day-to-day operation of our bar service.

As Bar Team Leader, you will lead by example on the floor, support and motivate the bar team and help ensure every guest receives warm, efficient and professional service.

Working closely with the Food & Beverage management team, you will coordinate service, maintain high operational standards and contribute to a positive and engaging environment for both guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the bar team during service and ensure consistently high guest-service standards.
• Allocate duties and coordinate team members to support an efficient operation.
• Welcome guests and ensure their requests are handled promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and serve beverages while maintaining excellent presentation and service standards.
• Coach, support and provide on-the-job guidance to bar colleagues.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling and end-of-shift duties.
• Monitor stock levels, complete stock rotation and minimise waste.
• Ensure the bar is clean, organised, well stocked and ready for service.
• Support functions, weddings, conferences and special events as required.
• Respond professionally to guest feedback and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with licensing legislation, responsible alcohol service, food safety and health and safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen, Meetings & Events team and other hotel departments.
• Support Food & Beverage management with the continued improvement of service and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bar, hotel or busy hospitality environment.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience is desirable, although experienced bartenders ready to take the next step are encouraged to apply.
• Good knowledge of bar operations, beverages and responsible alcohol service.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• A confident and professional approach to leading a team.
• Ability to remain calm, organised and guest-focused during busy service periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A positive leadership style and a genuine interest in supporting the development of others.
