Tullamore Court Hotel is looking for a reliable, organised and guest-focused Meetings & Events Porter to join our Meetings & Events team.

As a Meetings & Events Porter, you will play an important role in preparing and maintaining the hotel's meeting rooms, conference spaces and function areas.

Working closely with the Meetings & Events and Food & Beverage teams, you will ensure every room is prepared to the required standard and that events run smoothly from arrival through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up meeting rooms, conference spaces and function areas according to event requirements.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, staging and other event equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare refreshment stations, water, stationery and other meeting materials.
  • Assist with basic audiovisual equipment and report any technical issues promptly.
  • Welcome organisers and delegates and respond to requests throughout their event.
  • Maintain clean, organised and presentable meeting and function spaces.
  • Complete room changes and turnaround duties within the required timeframes.
  • Assist with the movement, storage and care of conference and banqueting equipment.
  • Communicate closely with event coordinators, managers and operational departments.
  • Follow manual-handling, fire safety, security and health and safety procedures.
  • Support food and beverage service during conferences, functions and special events when required.
  • Help ensure every event is delivered professionally and in accordance with the event plan.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hotels, events, conference and banqueting or a similar role is desirable, but full training can be provided.
  • A reliable and punctual approach to work.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and guest-service skills.
  • Ability to follow event plans and complete room setups accurately.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable completing physical duties, including moving furniture and event equipment safely.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues across the hotel.
