Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within the School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science
The successful candidate will join the GeTTMet Strategic Partnership Programme, a multi-institutional research programme focused on identifying and validating new therapeutic targets for breast cancer brain metastasis. Based in the UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science and reporting to Professor William M. Gallagher, the postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the validation of candidate metastatic drug targets identified through longitudinal multi-omic analyses. The role will involve spatially resolved molecular profiling, quantitative tissue imaging, digital pathology, protein-level validation of candidate targets, and integration of molecular, spatial, protein-expression and clinicopathological data. The postholder will work collaboratively with GeTTMet investigators across partner institutions and contribute to target validation, data analysis, scientific dissemination, manuscript preparation and the wider research activities of the programme.
This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.
The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
Fixed Salary: €47,273 per annum
