Central Decontamination Unit (CDU) Supervisor & Training Facilitator
Purpose of the role
The CDU Supervisor & Training Facilitator is responsible for supporting CDU Management in the effective supervision, coordination, and continuous improvement of decontamination services within the CDU at NCHI.
The role provides operational oversight of CDU staff and services, ensuring that all decontamination processes for Reusable Invasive Medical Devices (RIMD) are carried out safely, consistently, and in full compliance with hospital PPPGs, national/international standards and regulatory requirements.
In addition, the post holder acts as a Training Facilitator, coordinating and delivering mandatory, induction, and in-service training to ensure staff competency, compliance, and ongoing professional development within the CDU.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum of five years' recent experience (within the last five years) working in a Central Decontamination Unit (CDU) at Supervisor level or above.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising teams and coordinating day-to-day decontamination operations.
- Experience in delivering training, coaching, and competency assessments within a healthcare or decontamination environment.
- Sound knowledge of decontamination standards, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
