The business distributes Koka noodles and Bonne Maman preserves. The Boyne Valley Group is in operation for over 60 years, employs 200 people, and has over 1,000 products and customers.
We are now looking for a Production Operator to join our McDonnells production team.
Working hours: 7.00am-3.30pm Monday-Thursday; 7.00am-2.30pm Friday

Key responsibilities include:
- Working as part of the production team in the factory, undertaking all duties as directed by management
- Responsible for production line/machine operation.
- Assembling equipment and ensuring that machines are operated in a safe manner in accordance with SOP
- Cleaning of production line/machines and filling out records.
- Ensuring work area is kept clean and tidy.
- Meet required production outputs in terms of quality and quantity ensuring customer expectations are met
- Check products passing through work stations to confirm they are properly assembled, or prepared ,highlight and remove any defective products
- Ensures the quality of the products produced by inspecting visually and through measuring devices; records measurement information and alerts Supervisor or Quality team of any deviations from the specification
- Completes specific machine daily safety start up checks; record area counts, product order scrap, machine cycle time and daily production output/yield/cycle times
- Ensures that the correct raw materials are being used at each mxing stage, ensure raw materials are staged/ready for the next product run
- Ensuring Quality sheets are completed accurately.
- Entering finished goods into production record books.
- Working overtime when necessary.
- Participating in Group Communication Meetings.
- Participating in ongoing training courses.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures including, smoking, jewellery etc.in accordance to the Employee handbook
- Reporting of any safety issues observed in the Factory to the direct line supervisor.
- Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks
- Carry out tasks within area of responsibility to meet daily production output requirements
- Packing goods ready for shipment
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery
- Other duties as required
