What you'll do
- Day-to-Day Operations & Scheduling - Manage the daily operations of the GMP, Non-GMP or Industrial team onsite, ensuring schedules are planned and delivered effectively in line with client requirements, including appropriate cover for absences and holidays.
- Team Leadership & Staff Management - Supervise, recruit, induct, train, motivate and appraise staff. Conduct regular team meetings, manage employee relations, maintain personnel and training records, and liaise with HR as required.
- Health, Safety & Compliance - Promote a strong health and safety culture, manage accidents, incidents and unsafe conditions, communicate safety lessons, and ensure compliance with company, client and statutory requirements, including COSHH, fire safety and hygiene standards.
- Cleaning Standards & Quality Control - Ensure all areas are cleaned and sanitised efficiently and to the required standard. Carry out daily spot checks, monitor performance, address exceptions and ensure all cleaning equipment, stores and materials are maintained safely.
- Client Service & Communication - Maintain a consistent, high-quality service in line with contract specifications and agreed performance targets. Communicate effectively with the client, management and team members, and complete all required meetings, reports and documentation.
- Stock, Equipment & Cost Control - Monitor inventory and stock levels, support monthly budget planning, minimise unnecessary waste and expenditure, and ensure all equipment is clean, maintained, stored safely and any defects are reported immediately.
- Administration, Payroll & Performance Management - Manage payroll for establishment staff, maintain accurate records, oversee schedules and exceptions on Kronos, complete required logs and reports, monitor KPIs and ensure the team consistently meets agreed qualitative, safety and financial targets.
