Carne is seeking an experienced professional to join a dynamic, growing Investment Manager Oversight team. In this position, you will act as Manager, directly supporting the Designated Person for Investment Management and taking responsibility for oversight of delegates.

Carne is seeking an experienced professional to join a dynamic, growing Investment Manager Oversight team. In this position, you will act as Manager, directly supporting the Designated Person for Investment Management and taking responsibility for oversight of delegates.
What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- 3-5 years of experience in the funds industry - Fund Administration / Depositary / AIFM / Management Company
- Third level qualification (or equivalent)
- Excellent knowledge of UCITS, AIFM, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Preferred: Professional Qualification (CFA/CAIA/FRM) achieved or in progress
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerBI
- Experience in people management, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery.
What is your role and your responsibilities?
- Oversee the ongoing monitoring of delegated investment managers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Resolve complex issues related to investment management, fund governance, and investment oversight processes.
- Exhibit deep expertise of bespoke and complex investment strategies, coupled with a thorough understanding of the fund lifecycle, contributing across all stages from fund launch and implementation through ongoing oversight and change management, while ensuring the implementation of comprehensive monitoring and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the regulatory environment, particularly as it relates to investment management, and ensure team alignment with evolving requirements.
- Manage relationships with high-touch and strategically important clients, acting as a senior point of contact for investment oversight matters.
- Represent the IM Oversight function in presentations and meetings with investment managers, depositaries, fund boards, and regulators as required.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of investment oversight processes, technology, and controls.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders in respect of Investment Oversight matters.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management committees and governance bodies.
- Lead and manage IM Oversight team members, including performance reviews, development planning, training, and resource allocation.
