We are seeking an experienced Regional Safety Program Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program across multiple client sites. This role is critical in ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations within mission-critical environments, including data centres and other high-risk technical facilities.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational support to site-based teams while building and managing a regional team of Safety Coordinators. Leveraging both leading and lagging performance indicators, you will drive a proactive safety culture focused on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Strategy & Program Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems and safety programs across all assigned sites and geographies.
  • Lead the development and execution of annual safety strategies, objectives, and KPIs aligned with organizational goals and a commitment to zero harm.
  • Establish and monitor leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and drive improvements.
  • Partner with operational and business leaders to integrate EHS priorities into operational and commercial decision-making.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Lead risk assessments, hazard identification processes, and implementation of effective control measures.
  • Conduct and coordinate Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and other safety evaluations for critical activities.
  • Maintain oversight of permit-to-work systems, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), energy isolation, change management, and other high-risk work controls.
  • Monitor changes in applicable legislation and industry standards, ensuring timely implementation and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other applicable management system requirements.

Incident Prevention & Investigation

  • Foster a strong reporting culture for incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action programs.
  • Ensure lessons learned are communicated effectively and translated into preventive measures across all sites.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that reduce risk and improve overall safety performance.

Auditing & Performance Management

  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across regional operations.
  • Track corrective actions through to completion and report performance trends to senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain safety dashboards, metrics, and management reports.
  • Ensure readiness for client, regulatory, and corporate audits, coordinating all follow-up activities.

Training & Safety Culture

  • Design and deliver EHS training programs covering topics such as:
    • Electrical Safety
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    • Working at Height
    • Confined Space Entry
    • Manual Handling (MHE)
    • Emergency Response
    • Contractor Safety Management
  • Lead safety committees, toolbox talks, and behavioural safety initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor operational teams and Safety Coordinators to embed safe systems of work into daily activities while maintaining operational continuity.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, communication, and leadership.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary regional EHS subject matter expert.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support business continuity planning and emergency preparedness initiatives.
  • Represent the organization during client meetings, audits, and regulatory interactions.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field, with professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, EurOSHM, or an equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior EHS or safety management role.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing EHS management systems within a multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish and EU health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, and compliance programs.

Preferred

  • Experience within data centres, critical facilities, construction, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, or other mission-critical operations.
  • Knowledge of high-risk activities, including:
    • Electrical Safety (HV/LV)
    • Working at Height
    • Confined Spaces
    • Lifting Operations
  • Experience managing teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple locations and cultures.

Travel Requirements

  • Role will be based in Ireland but successfully candidate must have the ability to travel quarterly throughout the EMEA region.
  • Occasional global travel may be required.
