Your skills
- Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, including HA, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong Windows Server administration skills, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows clustering.
- Experience with SAN/NAS storage and integration with VMware environments + Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and VMware PowerCLI.
- Proficiency in backup and disaster recovery solutions, preferably Veeam or Veritas.
- Experience implementing OEM/vendor-recommended performance tuning, VMware/Hyper-V hotfixes, and infrastructure improvements.
- Hands-on experience with ITSM processes and tools, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Knowledge of datacenter operations, security, compliance, monitoring, and Continual Service Improvement practices.
- Driver's license valid in Ireland
Your tasks
- Design, implement, administer, and optimize VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi environments, including HA, performance, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and hotfixes.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, monitoring, repeated incident/alert analysis, performance tuning, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents.
- Develop and implement server, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, security, and infrastructure strategies.
- Manage Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows clustering, along with SAN/NAS storage integration.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, security, vulnerability assessment, and compliance processes.
- Develop automation solutions and scripts using PowerShell/PowerCLI to improve operational efficiency.
- Drive Continual Service Improvement (CSI), including improvement planning, implementation, and performance/capacity reporting.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, Knowledge Base (KB) articles
