The Role:
  • Senior DeltaV Engineer
  • Limerick
  • Onsite Role - This role is full onsite and based in Limerick - you must be able to commute daily to site and living within a reasonable commute or able to relocate in a 1 to 2 month time frame. While some remote working may be possible only candidates living in the locality or able to relocate in a reasonable time frame can be considered. As a contractor role, we can only consider EU or UK citizens as we cannot provide a work permit for this role.

Role Brief:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing DeltaV software changes identified during all stages of the project lifecycle as well as working with a range of other automation related systems such as PLC and DCS systems and others. You will contribute to technical strategy for the execution of Automated projects and review all work during the design, commissioning, and validations stages.

Skills Brief:
  • Significant experience working with DeltaV distributed controls systems
  • You should have Emerson Process Management DeltaV Platform experience as well as knowledge and experience in Batch Processing
  • Ideally you will have been trained in the Emerson inhouse DeltaV training house
  • At least 5 years' experience with Automation systems administration, knowledge in one or more of the following systems, Rockwell Factory Talk, DCS, OSI PI Historian, Syncade, Siemens is essential. Candidates with experience in purely DeltaV and no exposure to other systems cannot be considered - you must be a strong automation systems all rounder.
  • Knowledge of S88
  • Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels, coupled with excellent organization and planning skills
  • In addition to problem solving, project management ability is essential
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with minimum direct supervision
  • Strong Customer relationship management skills
  • Strong Critical thinking skills

Person Brief:
Candidates must have a B.Sc. degree in Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in software development, electrical, electronic or automation discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in industry, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, blue chip or relevant GMP manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong problem skills.
Candidates trained in house on Delta with Emersons dedicated DeltaV training center will be given preference.
The candidate should be based within a reasonable commute of the site location in Limerick as the role is fully onsite. Only candidates currently based in Ireland, the European Union or UK and with a valid work permit for Ireland can be considered at this time.
