About the Role
Murphy Home Furnishing are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor – Evening Shift to lead our warehouse team and ensure the efficient operation of all evening warehouse activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing goods in and goods out operations, maintaining stock integrity, supervising warehouse staff, ensuring health safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 4.30pm to 2am, Friday 3.00pm to 10pm.
This role comes with a OTE salary of €40K.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise all warehouse operations during the evening shift.
Manage goods receiving, put-away, picking, loading, and dispatch activities.
Ensure accurate recording of stock movements within SAP/ERP systems.
Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts and inventory controls.
Lead daily team briefings and allocate workloads effectively.
Monitor warehouse housekeeping and ensure all products are stored in correct scanned locations.
Oversee loading and unloading of vehicles.
Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and promote a strong health safety culture.
Prepare staff rosters, manage annual leave planning, and support staffing requirements.
Liaise with HR regarding employee relations matters and attendance management.
Work closely with Stock Control, Administration, Transport, and other departments to ensure operational efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support warehouse projects.
Maintain warehouse equipment and internal vehicles to the highest standards.
Lead and promote our "No Incidents, No Accidents" culture.
Skills Experience
Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader, or similar management role
Valid VNA, Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift Licences
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, ERP/WMS systems, email and reporting tools
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to plan and optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation
High attention to detail with a focus on quality, damage prevention and stock accuracy
Experience training, coaching and motivating warehouse teams
Ability to measure, monitor and manage team performance against KPIs
Good understanding of HR processes, employee relations and Health Safety regulations
Strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
Leadership skills with a hands-on approach to team management
