Job Description

We are seeking an organised and customer-focused Commercial Support Administrator to join our Buying Team on a full-time basis at Barry Group.

The position will be based at Barry Group Head Office in Mallow, Co. Cork.

Role Purpose

The Commercial Support Administrator will provide administrative and operational support to the Buying Team. The role will help coordinate promotional activity, maintain commercial information and ensure that sales and marketing materials are accurate, complete and issued within agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Buying, Sales and Marketing teams, as well as other support functions across Barry Group, to ensure effective communication and the smooth implementation of commercial plans.

General Duties Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Buying Team.

  • Maintain accurate product, pricing and promotional information.

  • Support suppliers, retailers and category teams, ensuring queries are resolved professionally and promptly.

  • Assist with KPI reporting and preparation of information for supplier meetings.

  • Ensure all documentation and promotional materials are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth operation of the Buying Division.

  • Carry out any other duties relevant to the role as required.

Requirements

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a commercial support, buying or administrative role.

  • Experience working with product, pricing or promotional data.

  • Experience preparing reports and analysing large datasets.

  • Knowledge of the wholesale, retail or FMCG sector.

Qualifications Experience

  • Third Level Education is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
