Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Programme Coordinator - Education and Public Engagement within the UCD School of Medicine.
The Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) Ireland programme is an internationally recognised STEM education initiative that brings authentic biotechnology experiences into senior secondary school classrooms. Coordinated through Systems Biology Ireland (SBI) at University College Dublin (UCD), the programme supports teachers and students through laboratory-based learning, teacher professional development, educational resources and ongoing technical support.
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Research Programme Coordinator to lead the delivery, coordination and continued development of ABE Ireland. Reporting to the SBI Centre Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the programme, including stakeholder engagement, teacher and school partnerships, workshop delivery, programme evaluation, communications and reporting. The post-holder will oversee programme operations and work closely with the Research Laboratory Technician to ensure effective preparation and delivery of laboratory-based activities, providing practical support during busy periods where required. The post-holder will play a key role in expanding the reach and impact of ABE Ireland through the development of new partnerships, enhancement of educational content and contribution to the wider Education and Public Engagement (EPE) activities of SBI.
Salary Range: €45,000 - €47,500 Per Annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
