Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Assistant within the School of Medicine.
The Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE; Ireland programme is an internationally recognised STEM education initiative that brings hands-on biotechnology experiences into senior secondary school classrooms. Coordinated through Systems Biology Ireland (SBI) at University College Dublin (UCD), the programme supports teachers and students through access to laboratory resources, teacher training, technical support and innovative science education activities. We are seeking a motivated and organised Technical Research Assistant (0.6FTE) to support the coordination, delivery and ongoing development of ABE Ireland. The successful candidate will play a central role in preparing laboratory materials, managing programme logistics, supporting teachers and schools, and contributing to outreach and engagement activities that promote biotechnology education across Ireland.
Salary Scale: €34,129 - €36,272 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 31 August 2026.
