As Financial Controller at The Address Collective, you will be joiningan energetic, experienced and strategic management team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of theFinance office. Primary responsibilities include financial analysis andfinancial reporting, audit and control programs and asset & liabilityreconciliation.

PrincipalResponsibilities
- To prepare monthlymanagement accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
- To reconcile the balancesheet and ensure account balances are supported by appropriate documentation.
- To ensure that theP&L is accurate
- Monitor and control allsales revenue streams and ensure integrity of all POS systems.
- To ensure all employeesare paid correctly and on time.
- Production, monitoringand updating of all relevant hotel and company cash flow requirements
- To assist the Directorof Finance in preparation of budgets for the business on an annual basis.
- To assist accountingstaff in all facets of their day-to-day operations and to resolve queries wherepossible in a timely manner.
- To develop the skillsand competencies of the accounting staff in all areas of the finance function.
- Oversee control of allpurchasing/stock control systems and procedures
- To ensure companycompliance on all tax matters and ensure are payments are made on time
- Oversee that all legaland financial policies and procedures are consistently observed and to ensurecompliance with the hotel control manual.
- To maintain a strongaccounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improveoperations and profitability and manage business risks.
- To advise the MD ofFinance on existing and evolving operating/financial issues.
- To beresponsible/accountable for all cash i.e. floats; cash transit procedures,safe/procedures, float spot checks etc.
- Responsible for thecollection and control of debtor accounts and to be the guardian of hotelcredit policy, monitoring its implementation consistently
- To foster a professionaland progressive relationship with suppliers ensuring mutual respect ismaintained by promptly ensuring accurate payment of creditors
- To assist in thepersonal development of relevant management on financial awareness
- To completemiscellaneous projects / tasks set down by the Director of Finance as required.
- To protect the businessfrom any financial litigation or liability.
- To assist the ExternalAuditor with annual financial audit and prepare adequately for same
Requirements
- Strong communicationskills
- Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills
- Proficient in IT &systems, ability to use software applications and hotel systems
- Ability to acquire andmaintain relationships e.g., associates, customers, vendors
- Effectivedecision-making skills
- Effective conflict andchange management skills
- Basic legal expertiserelated to hotel issues
- Good presentation andplatform skills
- Knowledge of overallhotel operations as they affect department
- Tertiary education inAccounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- At least five yearsAccounting experience
- Hotel Accountingexperience
- Previous hotel FinancialController role
- ACA, ACCA or CIMAQualification
