Purpose of the job
To provide support on shift relating to technical issues
Key responsibilities
Area of responsibility 1:
start and stop machines and troubleshoot day-to-day processing problems to maximize machine up time
Area of responsibility 2:
Execution of other relevant technical tasks on-shift to maintain production at optimal performance
Area of responsibility 3:
Carry out regular services on machines
Area of responsibility 4:
Adhere to all safety precautions with machinery, tools, and devices, including use of relevant personal protective equipment (e.g. gown, cap, safety shoes, etc.) and maintains methods/procedures and all supporting documentation to meet the requirements of Quality Systems ISO9001:2000, ISO13485 and Environmental Management Systems ISO14001
Required qualifications, skills and experience
Essential criteria
Previous relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment, experience with Injection Moulding is preferred, ability to work a 4-cycle shift roster/pattern
Qualifications
A degree Polymer Processing Engineering is desired or a qualification in a similar field
Experience
Previous experience in a GMP environment
Proficiency in MS Office tools
Knowledge/skills
Ability to multitask.
Strong communication skills
Strong health safety awareness
Desirable criteria
Previous relevant manufacturing experience
A certificate in health safety an advantage

Material manipulation – moving, lifting and positioning loads up to designated weight limits using mechanical assistance when required. Spatial navigation – manoeuvring equipment loads precisely through narrow aisles and high traffic zones.

To minimise downtime on machines
Decision-making responsibility 2:
Ad-hoc covering the shift supervisor when required – people management
Decision-making responsibility 3:
Reporting of any health safety or compliance issues to management when they occur

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery
Required to work in a warehouse environment and wear appropriate PPE as required

Basic salary and complementary and variable pay components
Basic salary range:
DOE, starting from €36,239.52
