Senior Product Engineer

Location: Galway, Ireland | Full-Time, On-site | Reports to: Senior RD Manager

ProVerum is transforming the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) with minimally invasive technology redefining the standard of care. As we scale, we're looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our RD team in Galway.

You’ll likely have:

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering or a related technical field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the medical device industry

  • Exposure to manufacturing processes for catheters and/or polymer-based delivery systems and injection moulding

  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving abilities, you're methodical under pressure and comfortable driving investigations through to root cause

  • Experience in product/process validation and design verification/validation

  • Strong knowledge of medical device materials, nitinol and medical device polymers a strong advantage

  • Good working knowledge of SolidWorks or a comparable CAD package

  • Knowledge of medical device quality and regulatory systems, including ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820

  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills

  • Project planning and execution skills

  • A proactive, 'roll-up-your-sleeves' attitude suited to a fast-moving, cross-functional environment

In this role you will:

  • Sustain the manufacturing line, real-time troubleshooting, CAPA, NCR, and SCAR ownership through to root cause and corrective action

  • Partner with Operations and Quality to design, optimise, and scale manufacturing processes and production flow

  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including fixturing/tooling design, verification, and implementation

  • Provide technical support to suppliers to ensure supply reliability, product quality, and process consistency

  • Support new design evaluation, packaging development, and iteration of existing products and processes

  • Ensure all products and changes comply with QMS and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, PMA, 510k)

  • Maintain documentation across DHF, QMS procedures, validation protocols, and production records

  • Coach and upskill team members as needed
