Key Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Responsible for a portfolio of tender projects
  • Responsible for all aspects of tender planning
  • Reporting to Planning Department


Tender Schedule Development

  • Prepare comprehensive tender schedules (Level 2, 3 & 4 level of detail), schedule narratives, and progress curves / histograms aligned with bid requirements.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Estimation, Preconstruction and Operations to clarify scope and milestones while clearly demonstrating the sequencing and construction methodology.
  • Lead the creation of 4D models and / or 2D phasing plans to present construction sequence, logistics and phasing strategies.
  • Prepare scenario planning and target schedules where required.

Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain schedules for design, procurement, pre-construction, construction, commissioning and handover phases. Perform delay analysis, float path reviews, and milestone projections.


Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain planning databases and produce progress reports for internal and client review. Provide accurate data for payment applications and contract reviews.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for tender planning queries. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment by leading schedule workshop meetings.
  • Attend mid-bid meetings to present Tender Schedule and deliverables as required.


Resource & Cost Loading

  • Apply resource and cash flow loading to schedules in coordination with estimators.


Leadership & Training

  • Mentor junior planners and promote best practices in planning processes. Provide cover for Planners responsibilities when required.


Essential Criteria for the Role:
  • Minimum 7+ years' planning and project controls experience within large-scale construction, engineering, or mission-critical environments, preferably including Data Centre tendering, preconstruction, or bid-stage planning experience.
  • Strong understanding of tender and preconstruction planning requirements, including bid programmes, PCSA schedules, early works, design development, procurement strategy, construction sequencing, commissioning logic, and handover milestones.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, with the ability to develop, maintain and present Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 tender programmes, schedule narratives, progress curves, histograms, and target schedules aligned with bid requirements.
  • Ability to build credible, logic-driven tender programmes from limited information, using assumptions, clarifications, scope documents, employer requirements, schedule specifications, contract conditions, and internal planning standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Estimation, Preconstruction, Operations, Design, Procurement, Commercial, CSA, MEP, Commissioning, and subcontractor teams to clarify scope, milestones, sequencing, and key programme risks.
  • Experience supporting or leading the development of 4D models, 2D phasing plans, visual sequencing outputs, logistics narratives, and construction methodology presentations to support bid submissions and client engagement.
  • Strong governance and quality focus, with the ability to ensure tender and preconstruction planning outputs comply with company SOPs, client standards, bid requirements, and internal review processes prior to submission.
